2020.11.10.(화) 이클립스 internal error 해결 (메모리 늘리기)

노트북을 약 11시간 동안 연속으로 사용했다.

2015년에 구입한 이후로 역대급 발열을 겪은 것 같다.

 

이클립스가 약 30분 가까이 응답 없음이 지속되고, 노트북 재부팅을 해도 상태가 변함이 없었다.

프로그램 실행 후 약 36% 정도 Building이 될 때쯤 다시 응답없음 상태가 됐고

 

Eclipse에서 internal error를 알리는 창이 떴다.

내용 : an out of memory error has occurred. consult the "running eclipse" section of the read me file for information on prevention this kind of error in the future. you are recommended to exit the workbench. subsequent errors may happen and may terminate the workbench without warning. see the .log file for more details. do you want to exit the workbench?

 

이클립스 설치 폴더(C\Program files\eclipse)에 들어가서 eclipse.ini 파일 우클릭 - 편집하기를 누르고

-Xms256m
-Xmx2048m
를
-Xms512m
-Xmx1024m

로 바꿨더니 이클립스가 훨씬 가벼워졌다.

응답없음도 생기지 않고 기분 탓인지 반응속도도 빠른 것 같다.
